The Board of County Commissioners recognizes that making amendments to the Park County Development Standards and Regulations (DSR) is a lengthy process. Some of the changes that need to be made, require swift attention to bring the County into alignment with state and federal laws, while also addressing key areas of the DSR that have been problematic for the Board, Planning and Zoning Commission and Planning and Zoning Department Staff. To expedite the more urgent changes, the Board opted to break the amendments process into TWO rounds which have taken on the informal titles of “DSR 1” and “DSR 2”.

• Formatting and modernization of the document

• Updates to Chapter I (significant rewrite)

• Preliminary update to Chapter 2 (definitions)

• Align with state and federal laws

• Preliminary appendices clean-up

• Updates to key problem areas in the document
