The Board of County Commissioners recognizes that making amendments to the Park County Development Standards and Regulations (DSR) is a lengthy process. Some of the changes that need to be made, require swift attention to bring the County into alignment with state and federal laws, while also addressing key areas of the DSR that have been problematic for the Board, Planning and Zoning Commission and Planning and Zoning Department Staff. To expedite the more urgent changes, the Board opted to break the amendments process into TWO rounds which have taken on the informal titles of “DSR 1” and “DSR 2”.

• Updates to all chapters

• Remove Chapter V (Road and Bridge Standards) and create standalone regulation under Public Works

• Update the official zoning map of the County

• Update use table(s) for all planning areas/zoning districts

• Update subdivision and application processes

Park County has adopted the first-round of updates/amendments to the 2015 Park County Development Standards and Regulations.
